From early April 08 to mid July 08, the vehicle endured driving conditions as a regular taxi in the capital of State of Mexico, hilly Toluca, to evaluate its usefulness and future modifications.

    Mr. Arturo Robles took it upon his organization, ATSEM  (Administradora de Taxis y Sitios del Estado de México)to conduct the real world 90 day tests in Toluca, and subsequent presentation at BMW facilities in June 27th. 2008, to Fernando Maldonado, State of Mexico Secretary of Transport, and Guillermo Velasco State of Mexico Secretary of Enviroment, in order to begin plans for the introduction of zero emissions individual public transportation, available to users in Toluca and its metropolitan area in 2009. The well attended event had a second fundamental element: the agreement to produce in semi industrial fashion, electric taxis in said facilities. A battery pack reconfiguration was decided as next step.
