2. e-COATL DC drive

The high performance EV configuration devised by CLUNN EV for EAE under CLE.VE.R. guidance...
  • eLECTROCOATL ®

As a complement to its everyday use goverment fleet program, EAE decided to convert the same NIssan B-13 chassis with a high performance DC drive system powered by the fabled ZILLA 2K controller designed by Otmar Ebenhoech for Cafe Electric Inc., a Netgain 9" Motor and 26 Genesis XE60 AGM Enersys batteries from Dick Brown's Aerobatteries. The integration by Steve Clunn, Florida's most experienced hi-per EV specialist.

e-COATL® started as a 2002 Tsuru, being stripped and prepared by Tek Alemana in Mexico City. It was sent to Fort Pierce for Clunn to do the actual retrofit. First stage had a very showy launch -see video-  for a very rough and unstable car. Then it went to Sunbrite Autoworks in Tampa, Florida, where it was redone with a pearlescent black obsidian custom paint job and a custom cloth interior.

After melting two 9"s, a Warp 11" motor was fitted. Currently car is being prepped up with a better non slip diferential and meatier transmission, plus a set of hi-performance all around disk brakes, at Z-Fever, in Tampa by Doug Mitchell.
