Mayor of Mexico City took on the pledge of a citizen's idea and made them succesfully present a goverment fleet electric drive car, tailored by EAE specifically for the Mexican capital driving conditions. On May 8th. in Mexico and a week later in NYC during the Climate Summit hosted by Mayor Bloomberg, the e-SURU made a splash -see EV World article- as the spearhead of a 1,000 units pilot program to recycle non collisioned gas poluting city subcompacts into maintenance free silent electric drive vehicles. With well over 6,300 miles the e-SURU has proven that the 20 Kw Azure Dynamics AC Drive System is the most reliable and affordable for everyday heavy duty usage. While running part of its testing the e-SURU was covered while in Florida, by Tampabays 10 TV channel -see article & video-  as part of the initial efforts to establish CLE.VE.R. Institute in the US at the begining of 2008.
